Dying light doesn't have that fluidity and transitions between movement and combat. Parkour-esque mechanics like wall-running have never been unique to Mirror’s Edge, but the series makes them a main event in a way that few other games especially first-person games do.

Overall biggest reason why i love ME parkour way more is that fluidity of movement. Faith's attitude towards the government is roo. An independent young woman, Faith detests the domineering, totalitarian regime that rules the city and the lives of its inhabitants. While in Parkour Fortress, speed, timing, and precision are used to the players advantage (or in some cases, disadvantage) to pull off stunts and tricks while keeping momentum, and either reach the end. Second thing is combat that in Dying Light basically stops you in place (there are few moves to avoid that but they are too clunky) while in Mirrors Edge (Catalyst) combat is way more integrated into parkour so even when you are put into arena to fight with enemies it is way more satisfying than bashing zombie head 10 times. Faith Connors is the primary protagonist in the Mirror's Edge series. Parkour Fortress is a server modification created by Mecha the Slag for Team Fortress 2, which is heavily influenced by Mirrors Edge, in which the player can freerun around user-created maps. Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst Preview: Parkour Une Fois Neil Bolt / ApIt takes minutes to see where the divide could be with opinion on Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, the long-awaited sequel. Mirrors Edge doesn't have it if i remember correctly so you always have speed and momentum to do various moves. Featuring the Prologue and the first Chapter. First thing is stamina in Dying Light that can break fluidity of movement. Then i started comparing it to Mirrors Edge and i think that i now now why i like Mirrors Edge parkour way more than one in Dying Light. I am currently playing Dying Light and i am somewhere around half way through the story but as much as i want to like parkour in this game there is always something to make it either annoying or clunky.
